Recommendations for the Investigation of Research Misconduct – ENRIO Handbook
To provide a comprehensive and detailed set of practical recommendations on how to deal with research misconduct and other misbehaviors.
The Recommendations for the Investigation of Research Misconduct from the European network of Research Integrity Offices (ENRIO) help institutions understand how to deal with violations of integrity norms and allegations of misconduct. The Handbook contains detailed practical recommendations on how to deal with research misconduct and other unacceptable research practices, and how to follow the European Code of Conduct in doing so. Although the intended users of this Handbook are ENRIO’s member organisations, it may also be useful for other organisations in and beyond Europe. The Handbook teaches users how to deal with research misconduct and how to protect those involved in an investigation, taking into account the existing cultural, social, political, technical and legal differences between (European) countries.
