The SOPs4RI Toolbox is a structured collection of easy-to-use Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Guidelines that Research Performing Organisations (RPOs) can use to develop their own Research Integrity Promotion Plans (RIPPs). The SOPs4RI Toolbox will contain supplementary resources that can inspire policy makers to foster research integrity at the organisational level.

RESEARCH ENVIRONMENT
RPOs need to nurture a supportive environment, where competition, publication pressure, detrimental power imbalances, and conflicts must be adequately handled.
SUPERVISION and MENTORING
Competent supervision and mentoring must be offered to researchers at all stages of their career development.
RI TRAINING
Adequate training in research integrity must be provided to researchers at all career stages, to staff handling research integrity issues, and to those teaching research integrity courses.
RE STRUCTURES
RPOs must develop and maintain research ethics structures and include dedicated and adequately trained research ethics committees.
BREACHES of RI
RPOs must set up transparent procedures to receive, detect, handle, and sanction research integrity breaches. Such measures will ensure that whistle-blowers, as well as those accused of research misconduct, are protected, that allegations are investigated in a fair way, and that remedies will follow detection of breaches.
DATA MANAGEMENT
RPOs must provide guidance, training, and adequate infrastructures related to data management and ensure that practices are compliant with legislation and applicable codes of conduct.
RESEARCH COLLABORATION
RPOs must have policies and procedures for ensuring that research collaboration can be done responsibly, when researchers from different disciplines or with different professional standards collaborate.
DECLARATION of INTERESTS
RPOs should enable researchers to provide transparent declarations of interests and ensure that conflicts of interests are handled adequately.
PUBLICATION and COMMUNICATION
RPOs must specify their expectations about procedures related to the publication and communication of research results.
